One thing that can happen with web-based apps like WriteUpp is that the browser tries to be clever and loads the password, but its loading the wrong (old) password and you end up in a loop that you can't get out of.
Here are a couple of suggestions:
1. Try to clear your cache & saved passwords - this article explains how you can clear your cache and clearing saved passwords just requires you to check that as well - How Do I Clear My Cache?
2. Try using a different browser - if you can give Chrome a try that might also eradicate the problems as some browsers are more prone to doing this than others.
Lastly, please be aware that passwords are case sensitive so if you have CAPS LOCK on that will cause a problem. Also when/if you request a new password please make sure that you don't copy any blank spaces when you paste the password in.
