How do I upload my paper notes into WriteUpp?

If you would like to upload digital copies of your paper notes to a Patient Record in WriteUpp, we recommend using the Cam Scanner app.

To scan your paper notes and convert them into PDFs, simply follow the steps below:

Download the Cam Scanner app on either the Google Play Store or the App Store

Launch the Cam Scanner app and using the camera, take a picture of the document you'd like to upload:

Specify the parameters of the piece of paper by dragging the dots, and once you are happy, click the tick at the bottom right-hand corner of the page:

CamScanner will now augment the image so that it appears as a scan rather than an image. You can also add colour corrections to the image, if needed. Once you're happy, click the tick in the bottom right-hand corner:

Some screenshots may not reflect how the Cam Scanner looks today, but the general steps will be the same!

You can then click on your image and share it using the share button at the bottom of the page. You can also specify whether you'd like the image to be a PDF or JPG.

You can then send the file to your computer and upload it as an attachment into WriteUpp on your Desktop. Alternatively, if you use the WriteUpp App, you can upload the image to the Patient Record by clicking the Attachment button and selecting the file from your phone gallery.

If you have already scanned all of your notes and have them saved as files or folders within an external storage source like Google Drive, OneDrive or DropBox, you can add a link out to these files from within WriteUpp - Can I link a file to WriteUpp from an external source?

If you have an Iphone, an alternative to the Cam Scanner app is to scan documents using the Notes app - How to scan documents on your iPhone or iPad
