What’s the difference between active and inactive VAT rates?

When creating or editing your VAT rates, you can set them as either Active or Inactive.

A green tick means that a VAT rate is currently Active:

And a greyed out tick means it is inactive:

Active VAT rates will appear in a dropdown list when creating an expense or an invoice for a patient, Inactive rates won't:
